Defend Black Lives.

Here LA, a black-owned business, stands tall and proud with the black community through these times. As a firm that was founded on optimism, positivity, and hope for change, we have been reflecting on how these goals are manifesting in our everyday business practices as well as in our plans and projects. As the core goal of our work is to improve and often provide access throughout LA County in an equitable way, there are many things that we can do to support the black community in this time. We are committed to fostering relationships with other black-owned businesses and are committed to continuing a practice of true listening to communities as we do our best to help communities get what they need, rather than what others think or say. 

It is time to actively use our voices as urban planners and designers to question the practice, question the motives, and use our voices to question the way our city governs and budgets for our communities. We have and will continue to stand in unity with our black brothers and sisters through this time and for all time to come.
