An award for Here LA from the California American Planning Assoc.

This week, the Southern California Association of Governments won Cal APA’s 2020 Public Outreach Award for its Climate Adaptation Communication Strategies. Here LA designed the project’s roving ‘Climate Talks Box’ (pictured above) which teaches people about climate change and adaptation, and was also used to test various messaging strategies. When it comes to climate change, one of the key questions is how to motivate people to take action. The Box tested 4 different strategies based on national research and best practices to see what resonated with the Southern Californian audience.
