A Community Dialog in Seattle: The Seattle Transportation Plan

Over the last few months, we’ve been working with the Seattle Department of Transportation on the Seattle Transportation Plan. 

In the summer, we designed and set up a creative board game and map-based activity for the project's first round of community outreach. The game helped SDOT gauge what values community members most wanted to see reflected in the Plan. In fall, Seattle Transportation Department used the feedback from the game to develop a collective vision for the city's future transportation system. 

This month we are building a button activity to ask community members for feedback on whether the city should incrementally change the transportation system or pursue a more rapid pace of change. We're excited to see what folks will say!

The Transportation Plan will present a vision for the future of transportation in Seattle. The Plan will establish goals, strategies, and recommendations for a system that works for Seattle now and in the future. The Plan will shape everything from future transportation funding to projects and programs that enhance how Seattle residents enjoy public space and move through the city.
